Introducing Vanshika, a spirited 18-year-old from Pune, Maharashtra. She’s an engineering student and a national-level boxer who finds fulfillment in bringing smiles to young children’s faces. Beyond her academic and athletic pursuits, she enjoys reading books, learning new languages, and embracing the beauty in every aspect of life.

Contesting for India’s Miss TGPC Season-12 against 50 other girls from across India and beyond, Vanshika is ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and advocacy, all while showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of India.

TGPC: What motivated you to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?
Vanshika: I feel most beautiful when I am confident, and I see this stage as an opportunity to be both confident and beautiful. TGPC has been a perfect guidance for numerous queens out there, and I aspire to be one of them. Moreover, I want to be a ‘TGPC ki beti’ who makes her TGPC family proud by inspiring young children and standing tall as proof for them to believe in their dreams. TGPC not only as a platform but a mentor can help me reach masses and be the beginning of my pageant journey.

TGPC: Why do you believe you are deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?
Vanshika: I firmly believe in crafting my own path and taking control of my destiny. As Miss TGPC, my purpose extends towards reshaping perspectives. For me, pageantry is my way to advocate for the welfare of orphan children and young girls. It’s not merely about aspiring for change; it’s about recognizing my capacity to bring about that change. What sets me apart and makes me a deserving winner is my resilience and unwavering determination to give it my all. I am committed to working tirelessly to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others as well as my own.

TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are your plans, both with and without the crown?
Vanshika: My commitment to the welfare of orphan children and young girls remains undisputed, regardless of whether I win or lose. However, if I win the crown, it would provide me with an opportunity to be seen, alongside the guidance and mentorship that comes with it. With this support, I intend to further pursue my goals in pageantry and win a crown to represent my country globally. I aspire to extend my support to other girls who may lack the courage to pursue their dreams, serving as a source of guidance to them just as TGPC will be for me. While losing the crown may initially set me back, I would rather choose to analyze and work, be an improved version of myself, and continue my journey with even more determination.

TGPC: Growing up, what would you say was your biggest challenge?
Vanshika: Growing up as a shy and introverted child, one of the biggest challenges I faced was overcoming my fear of presenting my opinions in front of others. Whether it was in school, social gatherings, or even within my own family, I often felt hesitant to speak up and share my thoughts. The fear of judgment or rejection from others led me to remain silent in many situations where I had something valuable to contribute. Overcoming this challenge might seem easy, but for that young girl, it was a task. But with the encouragement of a friend, I found my voice. His support helped me realize that the barrier I faced wasn’t as overwhelming as I had believed.

TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC are you most excited about?
Vanshika: Beyond winning, I am most excited about this being the beginning of my journey in the world of pageantry. To me, TGPC is a lot more than just a title; the experience and exposure I will get here are exactly what I am looking for. Moreover, I believe it would help me discover myself better. Besides all the perks, I just can’t wait to be a part of this family known for the warmth that it poses. And well, the journey doesn’t end with the crown; rather, it starts with it.

TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy do you aspire to leave behind?
Vanshika: I firmly stand by the fact that change, unlike transformation, is a group activity. It is not based on individual intelligence but on the interaction of many people. And this is the legacy I would like to leave behind, the legacy of togetherness. When I see myself as a winner, I look forward to working as a whole and not only acknowledging but supporting each idea of change with equal zeal and efforts. Alongside carrying on the legacies of previous winners and keeping them alive is also a responsibility that I am very excited to fulfill.

TGPC: Could you share with us the causes or issues that you are particularly passionate about, and how do you intend to utilize this platform to create an impact?
Vanshika: A cause I’m deeply passionate about is improving the lives of orphaned children and young girls. Whenever I witness their struggles, I can’t help but wonder, what have I done to deserve the life I have, and what have they done to deserve theirs? It would be unjust on our part if we deny them that single opportunity to create a life they wish for themselves. Also, instilling values like equality, respect, peace, and love in these young minds won’t just lay a strong foundation for them but for society as a whole. Recognizing the power of this platform, I plan to reach out to the masses for this cause and give these children the life they truly deserve.

TGPC: Is there any message you’d like to convey to those reading this?
Vanshika: To all who are reading, I want to emphasize that true commitment goes beyond mere hard work; it requires complete involvement and dedication, and I am prepared to devote myself entirely to both the cause and the responsibilities that come with it. Furthermore, let us come together to redefine conventional notions of beauty, embracing our imperfections and discovering our true essence deep within ourselves.
