TGPC: What motivated you to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?
Uma: India’s Miss TGPC is a platform that offers both mentorship and the taste of real competition, and that’s what motivates me. For someone who wants to start their journey, TGPC is the best place to start.
TGPC: Why do you believe you are deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?
Uma: I believe I have the qualities to be a title holder because, thanks to my upbringing, I am responsible and resilient. I won TGPC Talent of the Month on my 4th attempt, which is an example that I learn and improve myself without quitting to become deserving.
TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are your plans, both with and without the crown?
Uma: Both with and without the crown, I plan to make a mark for myself and inspire people to pursue their dreams regardless of their situation. I want to be an example and tell people they should embrace and enjoy their journey without being hard on themselves.

TGPC: Growing up, what would you say was your biggest challenge?
Uma: Growing up, the most difficult thing for me was believing in myself, especially with people making fun of me for my features and skin color, which made me bully myself. Overcoming this and having a strong mindset about myself has been my biggest challenge.
TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC are you most excited about?
Uma: I am most excited about the opportunity to meet people whom I’ve seen on phone screens or television. Now, I have a chance to interact with them, which is incredibly thrilling.
TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy do you aspire to leave behind?
Uma: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, I want to be “one of a kind” and leave a legacy that someone looks up to and aspires to be like.

TGPC: Could you share with us the causes or issues that you are particularly passionate about, and how do you intend to utilize this platform to create an impact?
Uma: I’m passionate about raising awareness about pregnancy and how to be mentally and physically prepared for it. Despite living in the 21st century, there are still many misconceptions, and I want to use this platform to reach as many people as possible across India.
TGPC: Is there any message you’d like to convey to those reading this?
Uma: To all the people reading this, if you have aspirations in life, remember that efforts need no talent. Don’t be embarrassed to put yourself out there; you can be scared but not embarrassed or shy. That’s the first step in your journey.
