Andrea Szarvas wins Miss World Hungary 2018

Andrea Szarvas defeated 15 contestants to win the title of Magyarország Szépe 2018 (Miss World Hungary 2018). Grand finale of Miss Wolrd Hungary 2018 took place on Sunday, 8th of July 2018 in Budapest. Andrea was crowned by the outgoing winner Virág Koroknyai. Andrea will represent Hungary at the Miss World 2018 pageant in Sanya, China later this year. Where she will try to succeed India’s Manushi Chhillar as the next Miss World. Patrícia Galambos bagged the first runner-up crown whereas the second runner-up title went to Eszter Nikolett Józsa. Szimonetta Fekszi and Panni Tóth completed the Top 5.

Hungary started competing at Miss World in 1989 and is one of the least successful countries at the Miss World pageant the highest placement for the country was in 2014 when Edina Kulcsar, bagged the first runner-up crown at the Miss World pageant. Linda Szunai in 2011 made it to top 30 and Tímea Gelencsér made it to top 20 of Miss World 2016.

20-years-old Andrea hails from Békés County, Vésztő. Andrea lives with her family and is a civil servant. Fitness and a healthy lifestyle are really important to her and she is passionate about Zumba.  During the Miss World Hungary 2018 pageant, she won the Miss Beautiful Smile sub-contest.
