Stunning Leonie Hesselink was crowned as the winner of Miss World Netherlands 2018 last Sunday. She will now represent Netherlands at Miss World 2018 later this year in China. She succeeds Philisantha Van Deuren as the new Miss World Netherlands.
At the same event, Charlotte Kootte declared as the first runner-up while Shadee Acton was declared as the second runner-up in the contest. Netherlands has won Miss World crown twice, first being in 1959 with the courtesy of Corine Rottschäfer and second being in 1962 with the courtesy of Catharina Johanna Lodders.
