Meet the 12 stunning Miss Israel 2018 Contestants who will be competing to represent Israel at international arena. The dates and venue for the pageant haven’t been announced yet. Although the public voting will close on 21st of April 2018. Winner of Miss Israel (Malkat HaYofi) 2018 will represent Israel at the Miss Universe 2018 where she will try to succeed South Africa’s Demi Leigh Nel Peters as the next Miss Universe. The first runner-up will represent Israel at the Miss World 2018 where she will try to succeed India’s Manushi Chhillar as the next Miss World. Rotem Rabi is the reigning Malkat HaYofi winner and will crown her successor at the end of the pageant.
Malkat HaYofi or Miss Israel pageant is the oldest surviving beauty pageant in Israel. The pageant started in the year 1950. Miriam Yaron was the first winner of the pageant although she never competed in any international pageant. Israel has produced one Miss Universe courtesy of Rina Mor who won the title of Miss Universe 1976 in Hong Kong, China. Israel last placed at the Miss Universe pageant in 2005. Elena Ralph made it to the top 10 of Miss Universe 2005. Linor Abargil is the only Israeli woman to have won the Miss World crown. Linor was crowned as Miss World 1998 in the beautiful island nation of Seychelles. Shani Hazan was the last Israeli woman to place at the Miss World pageant she was top 30 at Miss World 2012. Israel has produced numerous runner-ups and semi-finalist at both the pageants. Gal Gadot who plays Wonder Woman was Miss Israel 2004.
