Sarah Rose Summers wins Miss Nebraska USA 2018
Sarah Rose Summers was crowned as Miss Nebraska USA 2018 in a glittering ceremony that took place on Sunday, 7th January 2018 at The Rose Theater,Omaha. Jasmine Fuelberth,Miss Nebraska USA 2017 crowned Sarah as her successor. (Fun Fact Sarah was Miss Nebraska Teen USA 2012 and she had crowned Jasmine as her successor at Miss Nebraska USA 2013 pageant.) Sarah will now represent the state of Nebraska at the Miss USA 2018 pageant later this year where she will compete to succeed Kara McCullough as the next Miss USA. In the same event Michaela Edstrand bagged the Miss Nebraska Teen USA 2018 crown. Michaela will represent Nebraska at the Miss Teen USA 2018 pageant later this year. Highest placement for Nebraska at the Miss USA pageant was in the year 1955 when Donna Jo Streever bagged the second runner-up title at Miss USA 1955. Shari Lewis (1956), Carolyn McGirr (1957) won the third runner-up crown for the state. other than this Nebraska has placed only 8 times in the history of the pageant making it one of the least successful states in the history of the pageant.

23-years-old Sarah hails from Omaha,Nebraska . Sarah studied Child Development at Texas Christian University and is currently working with as a Child Life Intern at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.Sarah was National American Miss Junior Teen 2010 and was also crowned as Miss Nebraska Teen USA 2012. Sarah represented her state Nebraska at Miss Teen USA 2012 where she failed to place in the top 15. Sarah returned to the Miss Nebraska pageant in the year 2016 where she was awarded with the second runner-up title.
