Andreia Gibau wins Miss Earth United States 2017
On 5th July coronation night, Andreia Gibau was crowned as Miss Earth United States 2017. She represented the state of Massachusetts at Miss Earth United States 2017. The pageant finale was held in Washington, DC. The 22 year old beauty queen is a Cape Verdean who hails from Brockton, USA. She will now officially represent United States at the upcoming Miss Earth pageant in the Philippines.
Andreia Gibau is not a new face in United States pageantry. She has previously won the title of Miss Teen United States 2015. Ever since then she was more passionate about entering into pageants. This year, all her hard work was worth the effort when she succeeded Corrin Stellakis is as the new Miss Earth United States. The elite judging panel included the reigning Miss Earth, Katherine Espin; Corrin Stellakis, Miss Earth Fire 2016; Andrea Neu, Miss Earth Air 2014, Luissa Burton, Miss Earth England 2016; Bayartsetseg Altangerel, Miss Earth Mongolia 2015; Amanda Sowards, Director of World Missions Outreach; Tokarzewski, Owner of World Class Beauty Queens Magazine and Scientist, Dr. Mireya Mayor to name a few of them.

Andreia Gibau has been modeling and acting since the age of 12, she has modeled for fashion designers like Helen Castillo, Mori Lee, and Mac Duggal to name a few. She speaks four languages. In 2013, she moved to NYC for college. She was the vice president in her class and was voted as “Most Likely to Succeed.” She recently got graduated from St John’s University with a degree in public relations major and minor in fashion. Andreia has volunteered and worked with many organizations that cater to promoting inclusion for people with disabilities such as The Special Olympics and Best Buddies. Andreia also made it as a cover girl when she was featured in the “30 under 30” list of Phoenix magazine for her philanthropic work. In her spare time, she enjoys watching motivational documentaries, and shows in TLC channel. Not only has she published a book on self-development, she also teaches them to kids and loves sharing inspirational stories with them. One of her many mottos in life is “Today will be a good day because I said so.”
Though over the years there is an amazing improvement of delegates from United States, the country has never won the Miss Earth crown before.
