In an extremely well produced Miss USA 2017 tonight, Kára McCullough from District of Columbia emerged out as the ultimate winner of the contest. The finale was held at Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada hosted by Julianne Hough & Terrence. Kára McCullough was crowned by the out going queen Deshauna Barber, Miss USA 2016. She battled out 51 other delegates to claim the title of Miss USA 2017. This is the fourth crown of Miss USA that has gone to District of Columbia, first being in  1964 with Bobbie Johnson as the winner, second being 2002 with Shauntay Hinton as the winner and third being last year with Deshauna Barber as the winner. This is first back to back for the state of DOC. Kara shall now compete in Miss Universe 2017 to be held later this year.
