Miss Universe 2016: Top 5 in National Costume

Preliminary competition of the 65th Miss Universe pageant concluded with the National Costume round. The 86 contestants wore colorful & stunning creations displaying rich culture of their respective countries. Due to wardrobe malfunction, Miss Guatemala couldn’t display her national costume. The National Costume round winner will be declared during the live telecast of the pageant, however the national costume round doesn’t have any impact on the final scoring of the pageant. Let us have a look at Top 5 costumes that impressed us the most.

5: Myanmar-Htet Hter Tun: The national costume of Myanmar tells us a stroy of puppet show. The execution of puppet doll was beautifully done by Miss Myanmar which garnered the accolades from public.

4: Vietnam-Dang Thi Le Hang, Miss Vietnam’s national costume was selected from 5 Stunning National Costume. This  national costume represents in house basket production by tribes in Vietnam. Those cute baskets in the back just left us amazed.

3: France-Iris Mittenaere, Thank God! they ditched the Eiffel Tower & French flag for the French national costume. Iris looked exquisite in this Moulin rouge inspired costume.

2: Indonesia-Kezia Warouw, Paying Ode to Mythical bird garuda which appears in Hindu & Buddhist text. Indonesia costume looked amazing on stage and is one of the front-runners for best national costume award.

1:  Thailand-Chalita Suansane, This National costume without a doubt is a trend setting costume. The Jewel of Thailand is the perfect title for the costume as it showcases the rich heritage of Thailand and the woman who wore might just end up being the crown jewel of Thai pageantry.
