Suzana Sampeur of Port-au-Prince has won the Miss Haiti 2016 title and hence will now represent Haiti in Miss World 2016.  The Miss World pageant this year will be held in Washington D.C., the United States of America in December 2016.  Suzana Sampeur succeeds Seydina Allen as Miss Haiti title-holder.

This 20 years old beauty is a model as well as management student.  Suzana Sampeur enjoys fashion, shopping, modeling, dancing, games, sports and cooking.

Haiti is one of the weak sashes in the world of pageants.  The country did wonderfully in 1975.  That year Miss Universe Haiti Gerthie David finished as the 1st runner-up in Miss Universe pageant and Miss World Haiti Joelle Apollon finished as the 5th Runner-up in Miss World.  After that, the country hasn’t placed at Miss Universe or Miss World.  Their last placement in a major international pageant was Top 10, achieved by Lisa Drouillard in Miss Grand International 2014.  Will Suzana Sampeur create history by bring Haiti back to limelight in Miss World, after 4 big decades?
