Đặng Thị Lệ Hằng is Miss Universe Vietnam 2016

Đặng Thị Lệ Hằng is appointed to represent Vietnam in Miss Universe 2016 by Miss Universe Vietnam Organization. She succeeds Pham Thi Huong, who was a major front runner from Asia last year, as the new Miss Universe Vietnam. Previously, she was a 2nd runner-up at Miss Universe Vietnam 2015, where Pham Thi Huong was the eventual winner. Đặng Thị Lệ Hằng is also a winner of Elite Model Look Vietnam 2014

Vietnam started sending representatives to Miss Universe since 2004 and has managed to place only once, in 2008, when the edition was held in Vietnam. Đặng Thị Lệ Hằng will now try grabbing the second spot of placement for her country this year.
