Miss Costa Rica Natalia Carvajal – Miss Eco Universe 2016

Natalia Carvajal Sánchez of Costa Rica has won the title of Miss Eco Universe 2016. The finals took place in Egypt with the magnificent pyramids as the background of the stage.  She was crowned by Patricia Peklar of Slovenia, Miss Eco Universe 2015.  Miss Brazil was declared as the 1st runner-up.  Miss China was declared as the 2nd runner-up.  Miss Bashkiria was declared as the 3rd runner-up.

Natalia Carvajal Sánchez is 25 years of age.  Her height is 1.75 metres.  She is an actress and model.  She had won the talent competition of the pageant too.

Natalia Carvajal is the second winner of the pageant, which was created last year.  In the finals, many special awards were also declared.  Nepal won the best Tourism Video award.  Miss Photogenic is Bashkiria. Miss Digital is Indonesia. Miss Congeniality is Kenya. Miss Fitness is Cuba. Miss Smile is Japan.   Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Netherlands, Colombia, Argentina, China, Indonesia, Portugal, Bashkiria, Belarus, Egypt, USA and Russia made the Top 16.  Heavy favourite Miss Vietnam missed the first cut and shocked many people.  The Top 16 competed in evening gowns and then Top 8 was declared.  Brazil, Mexico, USA, China, Chile, Bashkiria, Belarus and Costa Rica made it to Top 8 and then answered questions.
