Binibining Pilipinas 2016 Hotpicks
The attention of the whole pageant world is now on the Philippines because of their successful placements last year in all major international pageants. Everyone is excited on who will be their successors in this year’s edition of one of the famous national pageant in the world, Bb. Pilipinas. The pressure is high for the organization and for all their candidates to aim at least a back-to-back placements to fully cemented the country as one of the powerhouse in the world. So here’s our final hot-picks for Binibining Pilipinas 2016 based on their photo-shoots, and performances in the press-conference, Jag Jeans fashion show & National Costume presentation.
Miss Universe Philippines – Nicole Cordovez: After the successful and epic win of Pia Wurztbach last year, the stakes are high for all the girls to aim a back-to-back win for the Philippines, so they need a girl who is totally different facially in order to stand-out. Nicole is the perfect successor. From an underdog to a frontrunner, she clearly knows when to peak and consistently manage to be on top in every activities. Facially and body-wise, she’s giving a mixture of Latina and Asian vibes. With her towering height of 5’8 (taller than Pia), she’s definitely standout from the rest of the bunch. She has good communication skills too, which is more important in the new format of Miss Universe. (Other option – 1st runner up so that she will comeback next year more prepared.)
Miss International Philippines – Kylie Versoza: Her undeniable presence is hard to miss, so she’s everyone’s cup of tea. She’s more gorgeous, well-styled and prepared now than her last year’s stint. She knows how to smize and she has many attributes of Pia to win but it’s not a good thing for a successor of a Miss Universe. You need to create your own style in order to standout. Her mestiza beauty and doll-like face (a trend in Miss International from their previous winners) is surely a huge hit for a Japan-based pageant. She can be the perfect successor of Edymar Martinez. (Other option – Miss Universe if she is given a different styling.)
Miss Supranational – Nichole Manalo: She’s back with a vengeance, with her bolder, fiercer, and stronger version than her last stint in 2014. From the screening up to the present, she is continuously exuding a winning aura with her hotness and undeniable beauty. She has got proper styling now and she knows how to flaunt it with the most suitable catwalk. Since this is Europe-based pageant based solely on beauty and catwalk skills and not much on the question and answer, it is definitely the most suitable pageant for her. (Other option: Miss Grand International)
Miss Intercontinental – Apriel Smith: The only black candidate this year, so she’s a clear standout. Her towering height of 5’9, well-toned body and impressive catwalk skills can be hardly missed. She has good communication skills too and a remarkably charming smile. With a totally different candidate from the previous girls being sent to this Germany-based pageant, she will surely standout and may bring the first MIC crown for the Philippines. (Other option: 1st runner up so that there’s more time to prepare for next year and she’s still young.)
Miss Globe – Maxine Medina: Her prominent oriental face is something you can’t ignore. Her fierceness and modelling experience is to her advantage. She has the most beautiful, well-proportioned body among all the girls this year. She’s definitely the right girl for a back-to-back win for the Philippines in this Canada-based pageant. (Other option – Miss Intercontinental)
Miss Grand International – Dindi Pajares: This girl has a body to die for, complimented with her oozing sex appeal and captivating smile. You can see her drive for this big competition because she moves like a pro. We can’t deny her oriental beauty that somehow resembles to Miss Universe Vietnam 2015. She will surely be a big hit in the Thailand-based pageant. (Other option – Miss Supranational)
1st runner up – Maria Gigante: She’s giving MJ Lastimosa vibes which can be a hit or miss for her. She’s the most articulate girl in this year, but her only short-coming is her height.
2nd Runner up- Angelique de Leon: Her beauty is unique and fierce, but her styling sometimes is not on point and she lacks that winning aura. She should better prepare for next year by finding the most suitable styling for herself.
