Miss World 2015 Sports Winner has been declared after today’s finale held between 24 finalists of Sports event. The winner is none other than Miss Namibia, Steffi Van Wyk. The 24 years old beauty queen achieved 1st place in all the sports event, making it obvious that she will win the challenger. This was the first time in the history of Miss World that a single delegate has won all the rounds of Sports. At the same event, Miss Seychelles-Linne Freminot placed second, Miss Guam-Aria Perez Theisen placed third, Miss Kazakhstan-Regina Vandysheva placed fourth and Miss Samoa- Alofa Latafale Auva’a placed fifth.
The top 6 finishers in each of the 4 groups competed for team as well as individual events, where the participants competed in a series of even more gruelling physical fitness exercises. The physical challenges included individual and team shuttle runs, long jump, 100 meter sprint, 400 meter relay, tug of war and more. In the end, it was Miss Namibia who was declared Miss World 2015 Sports Winner. Remember, last year, Miss South Africa and Hungary both were in Top 3 who also ended up being in Top 3 of the actual contest during the finale.
On being asked about how she feels on winning this contest, she replied,“I am so proud to have won this, not just for me, but for my country. I can’t thank all the other contestants enough for the support they have given to me. This award is for all of us because the biggest accomplishment of today was how well we worked as a team!”
With this contest, Miss Namibia gets one of the top points that will help her placing well in the finale by the virtue of Leader board. If she continues the momentum, she might just be one of the top bets in the finale as well. Do you think Steffi Van Wyk has potential to be the Top notch in finale?
