Miss Switzerland 2016: Lauriane Sallin

Lauriane Sallin from Fribourg has won the title of Miss Schweiz 2016 (Miss Switzerland 2016) title on 7th November, 2015 at the Basel’s Musical theater in Basel, Switzerland.  Lauriane was crowned by Miss Switzerland 2014 Laetitia Guarino.  Laetitia will be competing at Miss Universe 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada on 20th December, 2015.  Lauriane will be competing in Miss Universe 2016 as Miss Switzerland.  Her runner-ups are Chiara Kummer and Monika Buser.  Lauriane Sallin is 22 years old.  In all 12 contestants were vying for the title.

Lauriane Sallin has dark hair and has been a student of French and Art history.  She is now the ambassador for the Core Lina Foundation.  She works for children with heart ailments.  She works at her aunt’s boutique on weekends.  She is passionate about all forms of art – drawing, writing, fashion and all other forms of creativity.

Lauriane Sallin will be aiming to be the first Miss Universe from Switzerland.  The closest the country came to Miss Universe title was when the stunning Lauriane Gillieron finished third in Miss Universe 2006.  She had cleared won over many hearts with her amazing beauty and stage presence during the finals.  She was considered among the best girls in swimsuit competition.  Arguably, she was the best in evening gown competition.  In the final round, she spoke about her love for family.  Unfortunately, she finished as the second runner-up.  It would have been a pleasure to see a blonde stunner like her wearing the Miss Universe crown.  Another Swiss beauty to make the Top 5 was Lolita Morena who was 4th in Miss Universe 1983.  Lauriane has a lot of time to work on herself and sharpen her chances at the Miss Universe pageant.  For now, her predecessor Laetitia Guarino will be battling with pageant stalwarts like Olivia Jordan, Urvashi Rautela and Pia Wurtzbach in Miss Universe 2015.
