Megan Wise wins Miss Ohio USA 2016 crown

Miss Gallia County  Megan Wise was crowned as Miss Ohio USA 2016 in a glittering ceremony that took place yesterday (7th November 2015) at  the Kuss Auditorium. Megan will now represent Ohio at the Miss USA 2016 which will take place next year. The first runner-up crown went to Miss North Central Ohio -Taylor Diazmercado where as Miss Central Ohio-Courtney Rea bagged the second runner -up crown. Megan was crowned by the outgoing winner Sarah Newkirk Miss Ohio USA 2015. In the same event Olivia Turk won the Miss Teen Ohio USA 2016 crown. Olivia will now represent Ohio at Miss Teen USA 2016 pageant next year.

Ohio has two Miss USA crowns courtesy of Sue Downey Miss USA 1965 who was second runner-up at Miss Universe 1965 and Kim Seelbrede Miss USA  1981. Hollywood Superstar Halley Berry was Miss Ohio USA 1986 she went on to win the first runne- up crown at that year’s Miss USA pageant. Haley later represented USA at Miss World 1986 where she became the first African American women to represent  USA and  was crowned as fifth runner up. Kathryn Gabriel in 1957 won fourth runner up where as Kathleen Ann Kehlmier in 1972 won the same title. Kim Ann Weeda Miss Ohio USA 1982 and Stacy Offenberger Miss Ohio USA 2006 bagged the third runner up crown for the state. Audrey Bolte Miss Ohio USA 2012 won second runner up crown.

26 year old Megan comes from the city of Gallipolis. She has graduated from the University of Rio Grande with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Megan is a teacher at Meigs Primary Elementary School in Pomeroy. She has been trying pageants since long time this was her ninth year. She was third runner up at Miss Teen Ohio USA 2008. She was third runner up in 2009,fourth in 2010, Semi finalist in 2011,first runner up in 2012 and 2013, second runner up in 2014 and 2015. Megan was a  part of America’s Next Top Model in 2012.
