Urvashi Rautela, Miss Diva 2015, welcomed by a crowd of 3000 people
Urvashi Rautela, Miss Diva 2015 winner, visited her home town, Kotdwar, recently. The stunning beauty was received by more than 3000 people who gathered at Dehradun airport. She was accompanied by her mother Meera Rautela and her family friends during her trip. What amazes us the most about Urvashi is that she is one of the rarest Miss India who has got such grand welcome even before winning the international pageant. She was taken across the city on a chariot like a princess. She will represent India in Miss Universe 2015 on 19th December in Las Vegas.
Urvashi has always made it clear that she always wanted to win Miss Universe, since childhood, through various interviews. She is the only girl who has won the title of Miss Universe India twice, first being in 2012 and second in 2015. Urvashi was also felicitated by CM of Uttrakhand Harish Rawat for being one of the best talents of her state. There were few rumours stating that Mr. Harish Rawat shall attend Miss Universe to support Urvashi in her journey to crown.
Urvashi has previously won Miss Tourism International Queen 2012 held in China. She has also done movies like Singh Saab The Great (2013), Mr. Airavata in Kannada language (2015) and a famous #LoveDose song with rapper Honey Singh. Her upcoming movies are Sanam Re, Great Grand Masti, Ambarsariya (Punjabi). We wonder with just one national title, if this girl can do so much, imagine what can she do after winning the crown of Miss Universe 2015?
It may be noted that India has only 2 Miss Universe till date, Sushmita Sen won Miss Universe in 1994 and Lara Dutta won Miss Universe in 2000. Coincidently, Urvashi Rautela was crowned by Sushmita Sen during I AM SHE 2012 coronation and she was crowned by Lara Dutta in Miss Diva 2015. India has not placed in Miss Universe Top 5 since 2002. Do you think Urvashi will break this dry spell and get the placement for India in Top 5 again?
