Aaital Khosla wins Miss Earth India 2015!!!

Chandigarh girl Aaital Khosla defeated 11 other contestants to win the first ever edition of Miss Earth India 2015 which took place on 4th November at Courtyard Marriott in Gurgaon. Aaital will now represent India at the 15th edition of Miss Earth which will take place on 5th December at Marx Hall in  Vienna,Austria.    Since the inception of Miss Earth in 2001, Times group used to send runner-up of Femina Miss India to Miss Earth pageant but this year the franchise was awarded to Delhi based modelling agency Glamanand Supermodel India.

At the same event, the first runner-up crown went to Vaishnavi Patwardhan from Pune where as second runner-up crown was awarded to Jolly Rathod from Surat. Apart from winning the main title, Aital Khosla also won Miss Internet and Miss Eco-beauty sub-titles. Another favourite Rasshmi Rajput was chosen as Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants.The finale started with the contestants first introducing themselves in their elegant ethnic wear. After the Ethnic wear, they walked the ramp in their Resort Wear. Shehnaz Hussain and Melvyn Dsouza were a part of judging panel.

India has placed six times at Miss Earth Pageant with Nicole Faria winning the title of Miss Earth 2010 in Vietnam. Amruta Patki in 2006 & Pooja Chitgopekar in 2007 won the Miss Earth Air crowns  back to back. Shamita Singha (2001),Jyoti Brahmi (2004) & Shreya Kishore (2009) are the Indian  delegates who entered the semi finals of Miss Earth pageant. Last year Alankrita Sahai created some sort of a record by winning six medals at Miss Earth 2014 pageant.

Aaital Khosla hails from the city of Chandigarh. She is currently studying at MCM DAV College for Women. Aital has actively involved into Social works and has done few good initiatives on saving environment. She was  previously a participant of Femina Miss India Delhi 2015. She was also a part of our Top 5 Choices for the hotpicks of Miss Earth India 2015.
