Alissa Morrison wins Miss Iowa USA 2016 [Full Results]

Alissa Morrison defeated 19 others contestants to bag the crown of Miss Iowa USA 2016. She will represent Iowa at Miss USA 2016 later next year.  Alissa was crowned by the outgoing Miss Iowa USA 2015 Taylor Even. First runner Up crown went to Kelsey Weier where as the Second Runner Up crown went to  Lindsay Trappen. Alissa was also crowned  Miss Photogenic. In the Same event Hannah Bockhaus was crowned as Miss Teen Iowa USA 2016 she will represent Iowa at Miss Teen USA 2016.

Iowa has only one Miss USA winner Carol Morris who went on to become second American to bag the crown of Miss Universe in 1956. Carlyn Bradarich in 2011 was crowned as Fifth Runner Up at Miss USA 2011. Apart from these two Iowa hasn’t achieved much success.They have one top 10 finish, two top 12 and three top 15 finish at the Miss USA pageant.They also have three Miss Congeniality crowns (1983,1987,2012).

24 year old Alissa Morrison deom Davenport is a model by profession. Alissa is not new to the pageant world she has been trying Miss Iowa since last four years. She was in Top 15 of Miss Iowas USA in 2012 & 2013, She was crowned Second Runner Up in 2014 and First Runner Up in 2015.Alissa also bagged Miss Photogenic award this year. She will finally represent Iowa at Miss USA 2016 pageant.
