Sarah-Lorraine Riek wins Miss Universe Germany 2015

22-years-old Sarah-Lorraine Riek from Berlin defeated 14 other contestants to wear the crown of b. Sarah will represent Germany at 64th edition of Miss Universe 2015 which will take place on 20th December in United States. Sarah-Lorraine was crowned by the outgoing queen Miss Universe Germany 2014 Josefin Donat.  First Runner Up crown went to half Pinoy beauty  Anja-Vanessa Peter who competed in this year’s  Binibining Pilipinas 2015.  Second Runner Up crown went to Vanessa Jouline. The contestants were narrowed down from Top 15 to top 10 via online voting  and judges choices. 3 girls were saved by the online voting where as remaining seven were saved by the judges.the girls who made it to Top 10 of Miss Universe Germany 2015 are- Aynur Tuna, Julia Kraml, Anja-Vanessa Peter, Christina Trost, Manou Volkmer, Sarah-Lorraine Riek, Christina Kuhlmann, Jessica Kalbitz, Romy Krawczyk and Jouline Vanessa Bartels.

Germany’s last placement at Miss Universe was in 2002 when Natascha Börger bagged top 15 placement for Germany. Germany has one Miss Universe crown: Marlene Schmidt was crowned Miss Universe 1961.  Former Beauty Queen Kim Kotter is the national director of Germany alongside Netherlands.

Sarah-Lorraine Riek hails from Berlin, Germany.  Her ancestors came from Venezuela and Sweden.  She is a graduate in  Business & Law she plans to pursue her Masters degree in international human rights next year. She has worked closely with NGO called GLOBAL GOAL with them she could help support children in Ghana.  Sarah wants to support people who don’t have the privilege of living in a free country like Germany.  While working with a Law firm Sarah has been able to get in contact with various international Human rights groups.  According to her facebook profile she has been working with Elite Model Management New York.
