Wilmary Monción Román is Miss Puerto Rico International 2015. She will represent Puerto Ricoo at Miss International 2015, the 55th Miss International pageant that will be held on 5th November, 2015 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hiten Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Wilmary was crowned by Miss Puerto Rico International 2014 Valerie Hernandez, who is also Miss International 2014 winner. Valerie Fernandez will be crowning the new Miss International 2014 winner from a pool of some really gorgeous women. As of now, around 60 delegates from different countries have been confirmed as participants. Wilmary was a Top 12 semi-finalist in Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2015 pageant.

Wilmary Monción Román will have a tougher road compared to the other girls since the reigning Miss International is from her country. The current front-runners for the Miss International 2015 title are Miss Philippines Janicel Lubina, Miss Canada Kathryn kohut, Miss Thailand Sasi Sintawee, Miss Brazil Isis Stocco, Miss France Charlotte Pirroni, Miss Myanmar Emerald Nyein, Miss UK Sophie Loudon, Miss Spain Cristina Silva Cano, Miss Sweden Isabella Jedler Forsman, Miss Singapore Roxanne Zhang, Miss China Liu Xinyue, Miss Macau Ana Choi among others. Among these, the main front-runner is Janicel Lubina of Philippines. With her fabulous body, amazing beauty and great poise, Janicel can have a comfortable journey to the Miss International 2015 crown.

Wilmary Monción Román will be the third Puerto Rican Miss International if she wins. Puerto Rico is sending delegates to Miss International since 1960. The first Puerto Rican delegate in Miss International was Carmen Sara Látimer, sent in 1960. Since 1960, Puerto Rico has produced two winners (Laurie Simpson in 1987 and Valerie Hernandez in 2014), one 3rd runner-up and nine semi-finalists. The Miss Puerto Rico pageant had the Miss International franchise from 1960 to 1997, after a two-year hiatus, a new pageant was created called Miss Puerto Rico Turismo that sent representatives until 2007 when a new organization acquired the franchise.
