Gladys Flores crowned as Miss Earth Mexico 2015
Gladys Flores was crowned as Miss Earth Mexico 2015 at the conclusion of the national pageant held yesterday. She battled out 31 contestants to claim the title of Miss Earth Mexico 2015. Gladys represented the state of Puebla at the national pageant. Winning this title, she is now designated to represent Mexico at Miss Earth 2015. Miss Earth 2015 shall be held in Vienna, Austria this year. Gladys was crowned by the outgoing queen,Yareli Carrilo Salas, Miss Earth Mexico 2015.
The reigning Miss Earth, Jamie Herrel from Philippines was also present at the pageant. The girl from Oxaca was crowned as Miss Air, Veracruz was crowned as Miss Water and Miss Fire title went to Yucatan. The director of the pageant is Paul Marsell and the pageant was established in 2002. The first contest was held in 2007. Prior to 2007, winner was chosen by a private selection process.

The first placement of Miss Earth Mexico was in Miss Earth 2008 when Abigail Elizalde Romo of Coahuila was the 2nd Runner-up / Miss Earth-Water. The winner was Miss Philippines Karla Paula Henry. Abigail also won Best in Swimsuit award. The second placement was achieved by Casandra Ananke Becerra Vazquez of Distrito Federal in Miss Earth 2011, which was won by Miss Ecuador Olga Alava. She placed in Top 8 and won Best in Long Gown award. Paola Aguilar Concha of Yucatan was Top 16 in Miss Earth 2012, which was won by Miss Czech Republic Teresa Fajksova. Kristal Silva Davila of Tamaulipas was Top 8 in Miss Earth 2013, which was won by Miss Venezuela Alyz Henrich. She won Miss Golden Sunset and Miss Careline titles. Yareli Carrillo Salas of Sinaloa was Top 16 in Miss Earth 2014, which was won by Miss Philippines Jamie Herrell.
