Sasi Sintawee crowned as Miss International Thailand 2015
Sasi Sintawee was crowned as Miss International Thailand 2015 at the end of 2 months old reality show format based national pageant. She battled out 11 other contestants to claim the title of Miss International Thailand 2015. . Sasi Sintawee stands 174 cm tall and 20 years old. She will now represent Thailand in Miss International 2015 next month in Tokyo, Japan. Sasi was crowned by the outgoing queen Punika Kunsuntornrat, Miss International Thailand 2014 and a 2nd runner-up at Miss International 2014 contest.It is interesting to know that Punika crowned Sasi twice, one as Miss Earth Thailand 2013 and another as Miss International 2014.
Sasi Sintawee previously competed at Miss Grand Thailand 2014 where she was declared as the representative of Miss Earth 2014. She later on represented her country at Miss Earth 2014 contest and managed to place in Top 16. Sasi was also awarded with the title of Miss Photogenic at Miss International Thailand 2015. Miss Cool Japan award went to contestant number 9. Sasi was hot favourite from the beginning to win the crown as she was a veteran in this pageant and her win came as no surprise to pageant circuit.
The reigning Miss International, Valerie Hernandez was also present during the crowning ceremony. Valerie will crown her successor next month in Japan. It is to be noted that Punika placed as a 2nd runner-up at the pageant last year and hence the expectations from Sasi will be very high now. Sasi was trained last year by Philippines based trainers Gouldian to prepare for Miss Earth 2014.
Thailand has never won Miss International crown till date. However, they had multiple placements and runner-up crowns. Sasi Sintawee this year will make an attempt to grab the first ever crown of Miss International for Thailand. It is interesting to note that this year, Miss International Organisation is going to change their crown and the new crown shall be designed by Mikimoto, the same person who designed the Miss Universe crown used between 2002-2007 editions.
