Jinah Dameckh to represent Tanzania in Miss Grand International 2015
Jinah Dameckh has been appointed to represent Tanzania at Miss Grand International 2015 later this year in Bangkok, Thailand. She was previously a contestant at Miss Tanzania 2014 where she placed as a 2nd runner-up and Sitty Abbas Mtemvu won the main title. However, the win at Miss Tanzania pageant was not easy. Sitty was asked a question and she chose to answer in english. But in middle she started speaking in French and no body could understood anything. To the shock of audience and media, Sitty was crowned as the winner and the heavy crowd favourite Jinah Dameckh was a 2nd runner up in the pageant.
The controversy didn’t stop there. Soon it was found that Sitty Abbas lied about her age as 18 years whereas she was above 23, an age limit which Miss Tanzania doesn’t allow. Sitty had to relinquish her crown to her first runner up Lilian Kamazina. Many believe that the contest was rigged for Sitty Abbas as her father was a member of parliament in Tanzania and had a strong political connections. Nevertheless, destiny had something good in store for Jinah Dameckh and now she will proudly represent the land of Tanzania in Miss Grand International 2015.
The biggest favourite at this moment for Miss Grand International 2015 is Miss Grand Dominican Republic 2015 Anea Garcia, who was a big favourite for Miss USA 2015 and ended up being second runner-up after strong performances in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions in the finals. Many believe that she could have won the Miss USA 2015 crown instead of Olivia Jordan if she had answered her questions decently in the last two rounds. The second favourite for the crown is Miss Grand Philippines 2015 Parul Shah. Parul is a beauty of Indian origin and has been known for her amazing stage skills and likable personality. Third favourite for the crown is Miss Grand India 2015 Vartika Singh, who has a stunning face and has won Miss Photogenic titles in Miss Diva 2014(Miss India Universe) as well as Femina Miss India 2015. Other favorites of Miss Grand International 2015 are Miss Grand Spain 2015 Andrea De Cozar, Miss Grand Australia 2015 Claire Parker, Miss Grand England 2015 Elizabeth Greenham, Miss Grand Malaysia 2015 Santhawan Boonratana and Miss Grand Thailand Rattikorn Kunsom.
