Miss Universe Myanmar 2015-2016 will be the third edition of the pageant.The Finale will take place on 3rd October in Gandamar Grand Ballroom in the National Capital Yangon.The shortlisted 20 Miss Universe Myanmar 2015-2016 contestants have been engaging in various activities since last couple of days. There will be two winners for Miss Universe Myanmar one will go to Miss Universe 2015. Where as the other winner will represent Myanmar at Miss Universe 2016.

Sharr Htut Eaindra is the reigning Miss Universe Myanmar 2014. She will crown her successor at the end of the event. Myanmar returned to pageants after 52 years. In 2013 Moe Set Wine represented Myanmar at Miss Universe 2013. Myanmar has never placed at Miss Universe Pageant. It debuted in 1959 where Than Than Aye represented Myanmar. Myint Myint May won Miss Congeniality at Miss Universe 1960. Myint Myint Khin Miss Myanmar 1961 was the last representative from Myanmar at Miss Universe Pageant until 2013.

The Miss Universe Myanmar 2015-2016 contestants will compete for various sub contest. Miss Famous,Miss Congeniality,Miss Photogenic by NOBODY Jeans and Miss Beautiful Hair by Palmolive are some of the sub contest titles. Fans can vote for their favorite contestants via Facebook, Miss Universe Myanmar Website and SMS. Winner of this pageant will get various gifts and cash prizes. The money collected from the National Costume and National gift auction will be donated to Children’s Hospital and Women Sports Federation. Daw Soe Yu Wai is he franchise owner of Miss Universe Myanmar Organization. He brought the rights of selecting delegate from Myanmar in 2013.
