Pearl Assasira Brenda is Miss Earth Uganda 2015 [Results]
Pearl Assasira Brenda has been crowned as Miss Earth Uganda 2015. The announcement was officially made at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala. Victoria Nabagereka crowned the new queen. Victoria won the pageant in 2008 and then there were no Miss Earth Uganda representative until this year. Victoria Nabagereka is the national director of Uganda. Now Pearl Assasira Brenda will be representing Uganda at Miss Earth 2015 in Vienna, Austria on 5th December, 2015. Pearl Assasira Brenda is the fourth Ugandan beauty to participate at Miss Earth. Previous beauties could not achieve a placement in their respective years.

Pearl Assasira Brenda won out of 11 finalists. Total 20 girls were short-listed from all the districts and then 11 were chosen as finalists. Knowledge of environment was vital for doing well in the pageant. The 11 finalists were trained for 2 weeks. There was a national costume show on 30th August. Talent and question-and-answer portions were also there.

Pearl Assasira Brenda has a tough road ahead of her. She will face the challenge of becoming the first semi-finalist from Uganda at MissEarth. In Miss Earth, it is said that continent-wise selection is made for semi-finalists. This is not confirmed though. Thus, the first challenge of Pearl would be to top in Africa. The strongest contender from Africa at the moment is Miss Earth Kenya Linda Gatere. Miss Earth South Africa will also be revealed soon. Once the battle at continent level is over, Pearl will have to compete with some really amazing queens from different parts of the world. From Noth America, Brittany Ann Payne of the United States of America is a strong conteder. From South America,, Estefania Munoz of Colombia is the one to beat. Of course, winners from Philippines cannot be ignored. Angelia Ong, Miss Philippines Earth 2015, has to be considered a favorite even though the reigning queen Jamie Herrell is from Philippines too!
