Ayaka Tanaka named as Miss Grand International Japan 2015
Ayaka Tanaka was crowned as Miss Grand International Japan 2015 at the conclusion of the national pageant for the franchise of Miss Grand International. Ayaka Tanaka is a 25 year old beauty who shall now represent Japan in Miss Grand International 2015 contest to be held in Thailand later this year. Ayaka Tanaka had a tough competition in the contest and had to battle out other 20 stunning candidates, few of which were Ex-runners up at Miss Universe Japan contest, to claim the title. Ayaka Tanaka was crowned by the outgoing queen, Miss Grand International Japan 2014, Mieko Takeuchi.
At the same event, Mao Kaneko was adjudged as 1st runner-up and Nanami Tomita was adjudged as 2nd runner-up. Fuyuki Fujiwara was awarded ‘People’s Choice’ title. Mayu Kubota and Fuyuki Fujiwara completed the Top 5 of the contest. Miyu Tanaka, who was not a part of Top 5 placement, was hand picked as Face of Beauty International Japan 2015 and shall now represent Japan in Face of Beauty International 2015.
The finale was graced by the reigning Miss Grand International 2014, from Cuba, Lees Garcia. Lees accompanied all the girls for a day before the finale and gave them important beauty tips to be used during the pageant. Lees wore a white sweet heart Greek Goddess inspired gown .The off shoulder gown featured silver detailing on the bodice.She garnered a lot of praises from followers across the world for her spectacular appearance at Miss Grand International Japan 2015 finale. Lees was accompanied by Mieko Takeuchi – Miss Grand Japan 2014 and Eriko Yoshii – Miss Grand Japan 2013.
Japan has not won Miss Grand International crown yet. However, they placed in Top 10 of last year’s edition. This year Ayaka Tanaka will face a tough competition from crowds favourite Vartika Singh, Miss India and Shauny Bult, Miss Netherlands.
