Miss Asia 2015 is Miss India Kanika Kapur!
Miss Asia 2015 finale was held on 18th August, 2015 in Cochin, India. Miss India Kanika Kapur was chosen as the winner. The second place went to Miss Philippines Alfe Marie Nathanile Yu and third place went to Miss Azerbaijan Jeyla Guliyeva. Manappuram Finance Ltd. is the main sponsor of the event. The pageant invited applicants in the age range of 18-30 and with height equal to or greater than 5 feet 6 inches. The big favorite for the pageant Miss Tibet Tenzin Yangzom could not place in Top 3.
Kanika Kapur is the first winner of this new international pageant. Miss Asia 2015, along with sister pageants Miss South India and Miss Queen of India, conducted by Ajit Ravi Pegasus claims to be one of the very few pageants that do not judge a women’s beauty with a bikini or other similar rounds. The mission of the pageant is to support Ajit Ravi’s 100 Life challenge, saving 100 lives by conducting heart surgeries of deserving people. This pageant is different from Miss Asia Pacific World pageant.
The winner of Miss Asia 2015 title, Kanika Kapur is 20 years in age and 5 feet 6 inches tall. She is a student of journalism and mass communications. She has many achievements in her kitty – Miss Mood Indigo 2013, Femina Style Diva North 2014, a Telugu film titled ‘Tippu’ and Manappuram Miss Queen of India 2015. She likes reading, travelling, theatre, swimming and inspiring people.
