Best Dressed at The IIFA Awards 2015
Who were the Best Dressed at The IIFA Awards 2015?
Last weekend, the Bollywood stars dazzled in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards. IIFA awards are held every year in different countries to celebrate & promote Indian cinema. Kuala Lumpur was chosen as the host for the IIFA weekend for the second time, first being in 2002. IIFA was one of the first ones to start the red carpet movement in India, which made many Bollywood celebrities style conscious! Sarees made way for couture Gowns. Usually the Style & Glam quotient at IIFA is really good, but this year many A listers gave the IIFA weekend a miss due to various reasons. Which brings us to the question, Who were the Best Dressed at The IIFA Awards 2015?
F.Y.I If you haven’t followed the IIFA, here are the big winners of the night :Shahid “HAIDER” Kapoor & Queen Kangana Ranaut walked away with the top honours in the acting department & the movie “Queen” won the best movie. Rajkumari Hirani won the Best Director award for “Peekay“.
Many Big Stars were missing in action at IIFA, which definelty brought down the style quotient by a notch; some of the stars did manage to bring some drama to the Green Carpet in their own way. Red & Black were the colours of the night; every other person was wearing either red or black. Designers Geogre Chakra, Gauri & Nanika & Shantanu & Nikhil were the hot favourites of the night.
BEST DRESSED

1. Malaika Arora Khan: Wearing an Ashi Studio full sleeved Voluminous gown, Malaika Arora Khan owned the green carpet like a boss at the IFFA 2015. She finished her look with a pony tail, ear-rings by Anmol Jewlers & Christian Louboutin Pumps.
2. Aditi Rao Hydari: was having a Princess Moment in this gorgeous printed, A-line ball gown by Shantanu & Nikhil, and Jewelry by Gehena. With dark lips & side Swept hair, she completed this flawless look.
3: Kriti Sanon: Winner of best debutante female, Miss Sanon definitely struck the right chords by wearing this amazing Laced George Chakra One Shouldered-gown; we wish she had ditched the gold clutch, but none the less she looked good!
4: Bipasha Basu: The Lady in Red! Leave it to Bipasha Basu to turn on the heat; she looked so stunning in this thigh high slit gown by Gauri & Nanika! Although we aren’t big fans of Peplums, but we love it with Miss Basu.
5:Parineeti Chopra: Parineeti Chopra was having a fashion moment in her black George Chakra gown with ruffled bottom; she let the gown do the talking by keeping things simple in the accessory-department.

6:Neha Dhupia: Proving once again that she can pull off some of the most risqué outfits, former Miss India opted for a drape dress by Designer P.E.L.L.A. She completed her look by wearing golden pumps & quirky Edie Parker clutch. She looked like a Rockstar Diva for sure.
7: Anushka Sharma: Bringing the old school charm to the green carpet was Anuska Sharma; she wears a modest Red Gauri & Nanika Strapless gown with soft curls. Anuska did look like a celeb from the 60’s.
8: Deepika Padukone: One of the few to go Desi, courtesy of Sabyasachi Mukherjee, was Miss Padukone; she looked radiant in a red saree, although she has tried this look several times, yet she managed to look like the epitome of Indian Beauty.
9: Sonakshi Sinha: Wearing a Custom Monisha Jaising Noir beaded Gown with a slit – although we love the gown, we wish she had done her hair in a different style.
10: Kajal Agarwal: South Actress Kajal also opted for a monochrome Gauri & Nanika gown, with minimal make-up & side swept hair. She did pretty well.
