As the sun slowly sets on the year 2014, here is a look at some of the best gowns that we got to see this year at Pageants. Just a general observation, the contestants were styled much better in their local/national pageants than in international ones. We have short-listed our 5 favorite gowns from this year and 3 of them are from National Pageant, one is from a Sub Contest at Miss World & other was worn at the Miss World Finale.
Brittany Oldehoff~Miss Florida USA 2014.
Miss Florida Brittany wore one of the most beautiful gowns during the Miss USA finale. This nude bugle beaded, heavily sequined gown looked divine on stage as she sashed down the stage in her side swept hair, she looked like a Hollywood Diva.
Valerie Weigmann~Miss World Philippines 2014.
Miss Philippines Valerie Weigmann wore a beautiful Michael Cinco creation. This lemon meringue boat neck ball gown was a sure shot hit. Her only problem was the make up & hair, it just ruined her chances .
Koyal Rana ~Miss World India 2014.
Winner of World Dress Designer Award, the gown was designed by Falguni & Shane Peacock. This copper, gold & silver beaded gown looked expensive & a masterpiece on the runway.
Sally Gregie ~Miss World Lebanon 2014.
We could easily put all the gown worn by Miss Lebanon 2014 contestants in our top 5. The gowns were designed by ace fashion designer and the king of red carpet Zuhair Murad. Our favourite gown of the night was worn by the eventual winner Sally Gregie. She wore a beautiful black & white Twisted chiffon gown with a plunging neckline & high front slit. she looked amazing.
Edymar Martinez ~Miss Venezuela International 2014.
Venezuela is always Venezuela, you should leave it to them to bring the best gowns not just on the international stage but also at national level. Miss Venezuela International 2014(she will represent Venezuela at Miss International 2015)for us Edymar wore the most stunning gown for the year 2014. This Hugo Espina blush coloured sequined (17,000 crystals) gown with a beautiful back was absolutely break taking & worthy of this year’s top honours.
