We are glad that the stunning Shilpa Singh is a member of our panel of judges for the finals. Shilpa won hearts in Miss Universe 2012 when she, contrary to everyone’s expectations, did very well in the pageant and ended up among the Top 16 semi-finalists.  She wooed everyone with her funky and confident swimsuit presentation.  In spite of little support from I AM SHE team, she gave her very best shot and broke the 4-year streak of India’s non-placement at Miss Universe.  Her video interview too created a lot of buzz.  This smart engineer proved to everyone that she is more than just looks.  Her educated and personable behavior impressed everyone.  To have someone like her in our panel of judges is a big honor.

Round 2 Question: If ignorance is bliss, why do we seek knowledge?

And the results………

4th Runner-up Iftekar Alam

Shilpa: In spite of delivering great point about knowledge being an empowering tool it lacks the punch that other answers have.

2nd Runner-up Saloni Sharma & Adney Goncalves

Shilpa: Both answers are equally nice. However both have strong negative stance against “ignorance is bliss” . The answers are structured well. But I needed to give consideration to minute points as all the answers were beautifully given with so much clarity of thought.

1st Runner-up Priyank Bhambhani

Shilpa: This answer adopts a practical approach and acknowledges the significance of having a balance in ignorance and knowledge. Its true at times, ignorance is blissful.

Winner – Lisbern Shawn

Shilpa: This one is my favorite. It addresses great points. Additionally it does not say against the age old saying “ignorance is bliss”. It keeps the focuses on significance of knowledge.
