Asha Deepika Attaluri did not walk into the pageant world seeking a crown. That much is clear from the first moment she speaks about her journey — and it is precisely that quality, the absence of personal ambition in the conventional sense, that made her crowning as Mrs. Unity World India 2026 at Studio 32 Presents Cosmos Queen India 2026 feel so earned. On the evening of May 26 at Featherlite Evoma Hotel in Bengaluru, she received a title that, for her, was never about the title.
Asha is 38 years old — a visionary, entrepreneur, technologist, and humanitarian who holds a Master’s in Information Systems and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, and who has spent her career doing the kind of work that rarely makes headlines: building businesses, creating employment, supporting communities, and funding causes that improve lives in the quietest, most unglamorous ways. Born in Andhra Pradesh, raised in Hyderabad, and now based in San Francisco, California, she is someone whose sense of identity has always been defined by purpose rather than place — or title.
The competition itself demanded substance at every stage. Approximately 30 women from across the country competed through brand shoots, subtitle evaluations, personality assessments, and interactive sessions before the finale evening at Featherlite Evoma — where Cocktail Wear and Evening Gown rounds presented by Nihal Thakur Studio gave way to the Final Question and Answer round, evaluated by a panel of Yuki Matsuda, Sargam Koushal, Amit Chauhan, and Dipakk Shahi. It is a format that rewards depth, and Asha brought it in abundance.
“I never entered pageantry seeking recognition or personal glory. This title validates a belief I have always held close: that true success is measured not by what we achieve for ourselves, but by the positive impact we create for others.”
— Asha Deepika Attaluri, Mrs. Unity World India 2026

Her vision for her reign is expansive in the most grounded way. Through Mission Shantivan, developed in collaboration with the Government of Himachal Pradesh, she intends to spotlight India’s lesser-known destinations, indigenous artisans, and cultural heritage while building sustainable pathways to employment, healthcare, and education for local communities. She also plans to expand her purpose-driven luxury brand — a venture built on the belief that business can and should be a force for good, with profits channelled directly into global health and education initiatives.
What she describes as unique about herself is a set of convictions she has carried quietly for years: that access to education, healthcare, nutritious food, and safe shelter are not privileges but rights. That compassion and gratitude are not taught but awakened. And that the most meaningful legacies are not the ones that sit on a shelf, but the ones that continue working long after the person behind them has moved on. She does not want to be remembered for wearing a crown. She wants to be remembered for what she did while wearing it.
Cosmos Queen India, founded and led by Monika Shahi and Dipakk Shahi — whose fifteen-plus years of work in India’s pageant industry have built The Great Pageant Community into one of the country’s most respected platforms for international representation — will send Asha to the Unity World Pageants 2026 in September. She goes not as a beauty queen in the traditional sense, but as a technologist, a builder, and a humanitarian with something specific to say to the world.
