Contesting for India’s Miss TGPC Season-12 against 50 other girls from across India and beyond, Mansi Upadhyay is ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and advocacy, all while showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of India.

TGPC: What motivated you to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?
Mansi: The driving force behind my endeavors is my insatiable curiosity, compelling me to continuously push the boundaries of my own capabilities and explore the untapped potential within our shared humanity. Miss TGPC serves as my platform to amplify my impact and witness firsthand the transformative power of compassion and growth, for which I am deeply thankful.

TGPC: Why do you believe you are deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?
Mansi: Miss TGPC embodies more than mere symbols like a crown or sash; it represents a profound responsibility that stems from a deeper place, aiming to cultivate love, acceptance, and equal opportunities for all. It is a heartfelt calling to foster peace through personal example, a mission that resonates deeply with my vision and values. Hence, I firmly believe that I am deserving of winning this title.

TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are your plans, both with and without the crown?
Mansi: In my view, life is an ongoing journey of growth and development. The crown should rightfully adorn an individual who embodies the qualities of a modern leader: dignity, resilience, and above all, compassion for all beings. Whether or not I secure the crown in the future, I am committed to making a positive impact by raising awareness about injustices.

TGPC: Growing up, what would you say was your biggest challenge?
Mansi: In my upbringing, I encountered various obstacles in pursuing my unconventional passions, as they were often dismissively regarded as insignificant. Whether it was sports, dance, or drama, I was advised to stick to conventional educational paths deemed safer for girls. Despite this pressure, I forged my own path and became self-reliant in pursuing and educating myself to follow my dreams. This experience has underscored the importance of girls’ education and women achieving financial independence, as education emerged as my greatest source of empowerment.

TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC are you most excited about?
Mansi: I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of a vibrant community where each member is driven by a shared purpose. Together, we have the opportunity to exchange our unique life experiences and perspectives, enriching each other’s journeys. The prospect of learning something fresh and inspiring from each participant fills me with anticipation and excitement. I can’t wait to engage in meaningful conversations, forge new connections, and embark on this journey of growth and discovery together!

TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy do you aspire to leave behind?
Mansi: I am driven by a desire to establish a legacy characterized by genuine efforts, regardless of the circumstances, intertwined with a meaningful purpose. Inspired by the Greek concept of Meraki, which emphasizes infusing passion, creativity, and love into all aspects of life, I aim to motivate individuals to contribute wholeheartedly to causes they are passionate about. My enduring commitment to facing challenges with unwavering resolve will serve as a guiding light, accompanying me on my journey and inspiring others to do the same.

TGPC: Could you share with us the causes or issues that you are particularly passionate about, and how do you intend to utilize this platform to create an impact?
Mansi: It deeply saddens me whenever a girl is forced to abandon her education due to societal expectations of her role being limited to household chores or menial tasks to earn money. Girl education holds immense significance for me, as it empowered me to not only understand my rights but also take steps to assert them. I am passionate about ensuring that every young girl receives the proper environment and education to thrive, enabling them to not only contribute to the country’s economy but also advance the cause of women’s empowerment, which remains a pervasive issue worldwide. I work towards inculcating proper education and understand its bottleneck especially in rural areas. Since the government of India has managed to provide policies such as beti padhao, beti bachao. I would make sure their caregivers know the importance of education and take any financial aid if needed.

TGPC: Is there any message you’d like to convey to those reading this?
Mansi: I am appreciative of this opportunity and eager to unleash my full potential as a catalyst for change. It fills me with great joy to demonstrate my capabilities and uphold the esteemed legacy of Miss TGPC.

  1. She sounds so fake. Plus the answers look like it’s copy pasted from chatGPT. Her thoughts on education is contradictory. If education is really what she is harping about, she should have set an example by going for higher studies. Or taking part in real social causes that work day and night to educate young girls. I would like to know what she has done in that field instead of posing for fake photo ops of cleaning the beach. I fail to understand how taking part in a low level vapid “pageant” competition is going to help her spread awareness on education. All it’s going to do is boost her narcissism and ego. And what legacy? Seriously no one cares about what a bunch of 20 year old women have to say about real life world crises. Don’t talk the talk. Walk the walk. Get some perspective. Using fancy thesaurus and long paragraphs is not going to cut it. It appears that all she cares about is low level fame. One way or the other.
