TGPC: What motivated you to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?
Malika: Looking for an opportunity to start my journey in beauty pageants and the modeling industry but due to financial issues and lack of morale, I could not gather the courage to participate in any pageant. I came to know that whether you win or not but this platform will have a lifetime impact on you by transforming you as a better person, so this thing motivated me to participate in India’s Miss TGPC.

TGPC: Why do you believe you are deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?
Malika: Every person is unique in his or her own way but the one thing that sets me apart and make me a deserving candidate is my optimistic nature. I always take things as an opportunity to learn from it, as success and failure both are great teachers. Failure teaches us to stand after falling and chase our dreams and success teaches us to be kind and polite despite achieving the whole universe.

TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are your plans, both with and without the crown?
Malika: After winning India’s Miss TGPC I would like to take my cause to a greater level to serve society and would make my parents and TGPC team proud by leaving a sparkle wherever I go. But if I not win the crown then also I will not stop to serve the society as it’s our responsibility to make this world a better place to live. And being a part of TGPC team is itself a win for me.

TGPC: Growing up, what would you say was your biggest challenge?
Malika: I was a very shy and reserved girl back in my childhood. I used to live in my own shell and was very hesitant to speak in front of even a small group of people. But slowly and gradually I overcame my shyness by participating in debate competitions and many other speaking competitions which also led me to choose my career in the law field.

TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC are you most excited about?
Malika: Each and everything is very exciting about India’s Miss TGPC as it’s a great opportunity for me to build up my personality and to be a new and better ‘me’ but the most exciting thing is to meet my fellow sisters and mentors as I will learn so much from them. Can’t wait to get it all started.

TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy do you aspire to leave behind?
Malika: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, I would like to leave a legacy of a strong and resilient woman who stands for her dreams despite many downfalls in her life. Who knows her worth and stands not only for herself but for others as well. I would like to inspire everyone out there to follow their dreams and passion. I want to leave a legacy of a change-maker in society and inspire everyone to take small steps towards the growth and development of the whole world. As together we can shake the mountains.

TGPC: Could you share with us the causes or issues that you are particularly passionate about, and how do you intend to utilize this platform to create an impact?
Malika: Even if our country is developing at a very fast pace, still there are so many people who can’t even afford the basic amenities for example rice, wheat, sugar, period pads etc. So I work with an NGO which provides people with these basic amenities. And I would like to reach more people with the help of TGPC platform.

TGPC: Is there any message you’d like to convey to those reading this?
Malika: At last I would only say that faith it, till you make it. Don’t give up on yourself. Stay strong when life throws challenges at you. Work hard and get what you deserve.
