Introducing Avani Kakeochhi, a 24-year-old Aerospace Engineer hailing from Bangalore, Karnataka. Avani’s journey in the world of engineering is intertwined with her passion for dance and stage performance. She has graced prestigious events like G20 summits and shared the stage with luminaries such as Mrs. Nita Ambani. Avani’s accolades extend beyond her professional realm as she has been awarded the national scholarship and established her own dance school, Trayee. With a fervent desire to excel in pageants and represent India internationally, Avani embarks on her quest for the India’s Miss TGPC Season-12 title. TGPC: What motivated you to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?
Avani: India’s Miss TGPC in my opinion is the perfect platform to begin the pageant journey from as quality training is given. The winners are rightly chosen who go ahead and do extremely well in the pageant or the modelling industry without compromising on class. I look forward to growing as a model, pageant inspirant and more importantly a person.
TGPC: Why do you believe you are deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?
Avani: The winner of India’s Miss TGPC must be a great representative for the organization and herself but also be humble. I believe I have unwavering dedication, hard work, and passion towards what I aim for. I am deeply committed to the value that the pageant holds. Through performing dance and being on ramp, I’ve been able to make a difference and solve unique challenges within me. With this confidence, I do know that I can bring about a change for unheard voices and our celebrated nation. I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to be part of this pageant and to learn from such talented and inspiring women. While I would be honored to win, I also recognize the strength and accomplishments of my fellow contestants.
TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are your plans, both with and without the crown?
Avani: In the next 5 years, I aim to become a businesswoman with skills of both engineering and cultural heritage coming together to progress the nation widely. I’d like to take the proficiency of Indian culture and our technology advancements internationally too. This not only increases knowledge, legitimacy, and growth of the nation but also increases employment greatly. I hope to bring positive changes in terms of holistic education, healthy habits followed by our ancestors, spirituality, and technology. If I win the crown, I hope to endorse brands and look forward to representing my country internationally.
TGPC: Growing up, what would you say was your biggest challenge?
Avani: Born to a middle-class family, I was often bullied for the things I owned, the way my hair was oiled, the dimple on the chin, or the length of my skirt. They would pour ink on my seat, tear my book pages, and never speak to me in class. This affected my liking towards school and academics greatly.
TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC are you most excited about?
Avani: I’m excited to be collaborating with various brands and making useful content by spreading the right information to the audience making it beneficiary. Apart from that, every session and interaction would be a learning opportunity for me. Excited to make the most of it.
TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy do you aspire to leave behind?
Avani: I believe in doing everything you want to do but give your heart and soul to it. Being an Engineer, Dancer, Teacher, Fitness instructor, and a Model, I’d like to show people that everything is possible if one knows how to prioritize and work smartly. By winning this title, I will only be raising standards for myself and the organization for progressive growth.
TGPC: Could you share with us the causes or issues that you are particularly passionate about, and how do you intend to utilize this platform to create an impact?
Avani: Holistic education was a part of ancient Indian culture- The Gurukula system, where the child has the opportunity to learn 64 different subjects and activities which also included horse riding, sword fighting, and so on. The child was taught how to live and deal with different situations wisely which is missing in today’s education. I hope to spread knowledge and increase funds to support such existing Gurukula’s today. The child must learn everything and have the capacity to choose his/her dream and fly with great colors.
TGPC: Is there any message you’d like to convey to those reading this?
Avani: In today’s day and age, social media has had a major impact on our lives. Edited videos and photos create unrealistic goals and we as viewers tend to put ourselves down and develop body dysmorphia and other eating disorders. We must practice self-love, self-confidence, and work on good health for ourselves. Spread love, share positive energies.
