Nehal Chudasama is Miss India Universe 2018

Nehal Chudasama of Mumbai defeated 18 other contestants to bag the title of Yamaha Fascina Miss Diva 2018, aka Miss India Universe 2018. Grand finale of Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2018 took place on Friday, 31st of August 2018 at The Dome, NSCI, in Mumbai, India. Shraddha Shashidhar, Miss Diva 2017 crowned Nehal as her successor. Nehal also won Best Body & Miss Multimedia sub-titles.

Nehal Chudasama will now represent India at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant which is scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand on December 16th. With an impressive personality, great body and amazing walk, she is all set to bring a high placement for India at Miss Universe!

The reigning Miss Universe Demi Leigh Nel Peters of South Africa and Miss Supranational 2017, Jenny Kim of Korea were the special guests at the finale. In the same pageant, Aditi Hundia was crowned as Miss Diva Supranational 2018. Aditiwill now represent India at Miss Supranational 2018 pageant which will take place in Poland. The second runner-up crown went to Roshni Sheoran. Lavina & Hannah completed the top 5. Miss Diva 2018 contestants were mentored by former Miss Universe, Lara Dutta.

India debuted at the Miss Universe pageant in the year 1952 and has produced two Miss Universe winners so far. Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000. Yasmin Daji became the first Indian to place at the Miss Universe pageant she was third runner-up at Miss Universe 1966. In 1992 Madhu Sapre bagged second runner-up crown for India and started India’s 11-year placement streak at the Miss Universe pageant. Manpreet Brar who represented India at Miss Universe 1995 was awarded the first runner-up title. In 2001 Celina Jaitley was fourth runner-up. India last placed at the Miss Universe pageant in the year 2014 when Noyonita Lodh made it to the top 15.

Nehal Chudasama is a 22-years-old fitness consultant, model, EMCEE and an IPS (Indian Police Services) aspirant. She hails from Mumbai. She was the winner of TGPC’s Pageant Questions and Answers Season 2. She was mentor for TGPC’s Miss India season 4. She was host for seasons 3 and 4. She has been trained by Ritika Ramtri, India’s leading pageant coach.
