Kanako Date, defeated 30 other contestants to win the title of Miss World Japan 2018. Grand finale of Miss World Japan 2018 took place on Tuesday,28th August 2018 at ANA Intercontinental Tokyo. Kanko succeeds Haruka Yamashita as Miss World Japan. Kanko will represent Japan at Miss World 2018 pageant which will take place in Sanya, China in the month of December.

Stunning! Kanako will represent Japan at Miss World 2018

21-years-old Kanko hails from Tokyo and is currently pursuing law at the  Keio University she has also studied at China’s Tsing Hua for a year. Kanko is fluent in English and Japanese.  Kanko is an opera singer, swimmer and basketball player. Kanako won first place at national championship of Shinsen. Kanko also enjoys Koto, Archery, Skiing and Japanese dancing. Kanko has volunteered with the Red Cross and has been contributing towards Empress Dowager Fund.
