Quiin Abenakyo wins Miss Uganda 2018

Quiin Abenakyo defeated 21 contestants to win the title of Miss Uganda 2018. Grand finale of Miss Uganda 2018 took place Friday the 10th of August 2018 at Sheraton Kampala hotel. Quiin succeeds Leah Kagasa, Miss Uganda 2016. Quiin will now represent Uganda at the Miss World 2018 pageant which will take place in the month of December in Sanya, China where she will try to succeed India’s Manushi Chhillar as the next Miss World. Tyra Margach was crowned as the first runner-up and Patience Aheebwa bagged the second runner-up crown.

Apart from winning the rights to represent Uganda at Miss World Quiin also won a car from Toyota, Scholarship from Uganda Aviation School. A trip to The Netherlands and Pineapple bay resort in Bulago island. Quiin also won a one-year gym membership at Sheraton hotel. The pageant was hosted by Deedan Muyira and Anita Fabiola. The ceremony began at 6:30 pm and ended at midnight.

20-year-old Quiin also known as Quinn Abe hails from Mayuge district in Eastern Uganda. Quiin is studying for Business Computing student at Makerere University Business School.
