H’Hen Nie wins Miss Universe Vietnam 2017

H’Hen Nie defeated 41 other contestants to bag the title of Miss Universe Vietnam 2017. Grand finale of Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 took place on Saturday 6th of January 2018 at Diamond Bay Resort & Spa Nha Trang. Phạm Thị Hương,Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 crowned H’Hen Nie as her successor. Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela who won the pageant in Vietnam 10 years ago and Miss Universe Organization President, Paula Shugart were special guest at this year’s event. H’Hen will now represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Hoàng Thuỳ bagged the first runner-up crown she will represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2019. second runner-up crown went to Mâu Thủy. Tieu Linh & Bui Thanh Hang completed the top 5. Vietnam started competing at the Miss Universe pageant since 2004 and has placed only once. Nguyễn Thùy Lâm bagged  Vietnam’s only placement at Miss Universe in the year 2008 when the country hosted the pageant.

24-year-old H’Hen is a freelance model  in Ho Chi Minh City. This dusky beauty is 172 cms tall and was part of Vietnam’s Next Top Model in the year 2015.
