Aleksandra Chichikova of Belarus is Miss Wheelchair World 2017
Aleksandra Chichikova of Belarus has won the title of Miss Wheelchair World 2017. This was the first edition of the pageant where wheelchair-bound beauties from numerous countries competed. In all around 24 ladies from 19 countries competed. The second place went to Lebohang Monyatsi from South Africa.
23 years old Aleksandra Chichikova is a student. She desires to illustrate that people can be successful regardless of how they move. Aleksandra loves seeing people change their minds towards disabled people. She wants to be seen as equal person, not someone with disability.
Aside from first, second and third prizes, a number of additional accolades were also handed out to the contestants, including Miss Smile, won by Nadjet Meskine (France), and Miss Kindness, won by Vahen King (Canada). Bengaluru’s Rajalakshmi won the title of Miss Popularity. The competition brought together contestants from Angola, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Finland, France, Guatemala, India, Italy, Mexico, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Ukraine and the United States.
