Stephanie Agbasi is chosen as Miss Universe Nigeria 2017

Stephanie Agbasi is chosen as Miss Universe Nigeria 2017 by the virtue of finishing as the 1st runner-up in ‘Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria’ contest which is won by Ugochi Ihezue. Stephanie will now represent Nigeria at Miss Universe 2017, which is rumored to be held in November this year, in the United States of America. Stephanie also won Best Traditional Costume award in the pageant.
Stephanie Agbasi is 20 years of age and stands 1.8 m tall. She is from Neni (Anambra) and studies in Nigeria’s capital city Lagos. She is a law student at University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Nigeria is known for sending striking and exotic delegates at international pageants. Nigeria has won Miss Africa and Miss Intercontinental titles in the past, but the first grand success of the country was Agbani Darego. She was Top 10 at Miss Universe 2001 and then winner at Miss World 2001. She later became a supermodel and is still a regular face in the Miss World pageants as guest or judge. She brought the country on map of international pageantry. Repeating her feat is a challenge but a dream that perhaps every Miss Nigeria has wanted to manifest after 2001; will Stephanie Agbasi succeed in doing it?
