Maria Beatriz Daza is Miss World Colombia 2017

Maria Beatriz Daza was crowed as the winner of Miss Mundo Colombia 2017. She will now represent her country at Miss World 2017 later this year in China. She is 21 years old and represented the province of Guajira at the pageant finale. She succeeds Shirley Atehortua as the new Miss World Colombia.

At the same event, Miss Bolivar Yhully Bell Gómez was crowned as the first runner-up and Miss Santander Karen Ortiz was crowned as the second runners-up while Miss Medellin Lorena Osorio and Miss Atlantico Raquel Guerrero completed the Top 5 court.

Colombia has never won the crown of Miss World before. The closest it came to winning last time was in 2002 when Natalia Peralta Castro was declared as the first runner-up at Miss World 200.
