Chhavi Verg created history on 14th May by becoming the first Indian-American to make it to the Top 3 of Miss USA pageant. Many people really thought she would win it all because she did exceptionally well in the finals. Many believe she gave the best answer in the last round, looked lot better than eventual winner Kara McCullough and can do better in Miss Universe 2017. Hence once the results were out, many people took to social media to express their disappointment over Chhavi’s not being chosen as the winner. Finally Chhavi has spoken up on the matter in an Instagram post.
You know, us #jerseygirls like to keep it real and expect nothing less of this post!
Last night was absolutely incredible and I am so touched by all the love and support I’ve received. Although I wish it was me wearing the Miss USA crown on my head today, there is no one else I’d rather be first runner up to than @missdcusa 💕 I have no doubt in my mind that she will do a PHENOMENAL job as #MissUSA! There are so many people I need to thank for helping me get this far. A huge thanks to everyone at MUO and @lucelaniasierra for making the last few days so amazing and preparing me to take on that stage! To my amazing directors @cindyprovost @dmillerusa and the entire D&D team for taking such great care of me. To my pageant coach @jacklyngray @jacklyn_beauty for guiding me and ALWAYS being there for me. To every single person who believed in me, my dream, and supported me on this journey. So many people and hours of work went behind the person you saw on stage last night. I am truly so grateful and so lucky. This is just the beginning and it is not the last you’re seeing of me. Thank you all so much!
Such a graceful lady! We want to see more of her. Hope she tries in more pageant!
