Doctor and model, Priyadarshini Borah, who was crowned Rubaru Miss India Elite last year at the Presidium Auditorium, is India’s bet for the notable international modelling competition, the Supermodel International 2017. The contest is taking place in India this year and the grand finale of the pageant is scheduled to take place on 22 April 2017. More than 30 international models from all over the world are in India to participate in this prestigious international event.
Our very own Dr. Priyadarshini Borah is shouldering the responsibility to make India proud at the pageant. She hails from the Indian state of Assam and is a certified doctor. She completed her studies from the Assam Medical College and Hospital. Her hobbies include cooking, painting and sports. At the pageant, her wardrobe is done by ace Indian designer Rohit Verma. Prior to winning the Rubaru Miss India Elite title she was crowned Miss Axom. The Rubaru Miss India Elite contest is Indian preliminary for the Supermodel International contest. The pageant is run by Rubaru Group under the leadership of Indian entrepreneur, pageant guru, social activist and painter, Mr Sandeep Kumar.
The Supermodel International competition is the biggest and most followed international modelling contest. It is produced by Pradinunt Production Limited headed by Mr Pradit Pradinunt of Thailand. This for the second consecutive year that the pageant is happening in India. All thanks to the Rubaru Group for bringing this renowned international fashion event to India. The pageant is a 10 day long event. The candidates are currently in Le Meridien Hotel in Gurugram where all the photoshoots and video shoots are being done. After a series of photoshoot and fashion shows, at the grand finale on 22 April 2017, the winner of Supermodel International 2016, Josephine Tan from Malaysia will crown her successor.
