Top 10 Miss India beauties of 2010s
After a lump towards the end of 2009s, 2010s overall have been nice for Indian pageantry by far. India hasn’t placed in Top 3 of Miss World or Miss Universe, but did quite well in smaller pageants. Without wasting much time, let’s go forward to check out the choices of our experts for best Miss India beauties of this period, i.e. 2010-2019.
The Top 10 choices are in reverse order.
10) Lopamudra Raut
Talk about persistence! Lopamudra Raut begun her Trist with Miss India in the year 2013. In her first year, she didn’t place. She was back the very next year and this time she was in the Top 5. We have seen girls coming back, so this wasn’t new. But Lopa again made it to the list of contestants for Miss Diva 2014! This is not common in Indian pageantry. Unfortunately she missed the Top 3 this time again. Thankfully 2016 was good to her and she got the chance to represent India at Miss United Continents 2016, where she finished 3rd. She then was chosen as contestant for Big Boss 10, where she finished 3rd again. We salute Lopa for her persistence. Although she technically never won any pageant, she managed to penetrate the hearts of many and will be remembered more than many of the past winners.
9) Kanishtha Dhankar
Kanishtha Dhankar won Femina Miss India 2011 and went on to place in Top 30 of Miss World. However, her journey didn’t end. She became a supermodel, having walked in many prestigious fashion shows in India and abroad. She has also shot for numerous internationally renowned fashion magazines. She is one of the few Indians to have walked at the New York Fashion Week.
8) Shilpa Singh
Shilpa Singh epitomizes ‘Confidently Beautiful’. She was not accepted by fans when she replaced Urvashi Rautela as Miss India Universe. But this computer engineer did not give up. She gave her best shot at Miss Universe and created a sort of history by ending the non-placement streak of India. She made it to the Top 16 and recently it has been confirmed that she was actually at the 11th place in finals. Unlike most Miss Indias, Shilpa chose to return back to the corporate world. She will remembered for her personal confidence.
7) Koyal Rana
Koyal was perhaps the strongest Miss India World after Parvathy Omanakuttan. She was among the front-runners at Miss World 2014. She placed in most of the fast-track events. She was among the five winners of Beauty With Purpose. In fact, she topped the leaderboard in the finals. However, she was suspiciously left out of the Top 5. Nevertheless we adore her for the sincere attempt she made in the pageant.
6) Nicole Faria
Nicole made history by becoming the first Miss India to win the Miss Earth title in 2010. While the title unfortunately didn’t help her much in gaining opportunities in India, she deserves accolades for bringing home the crown. She is now an actress.
5) Srinidhi Shetty
Srinidhi has the Bollywood charm and reminds us of Madhuri Dixit. She has the positive vibe which is often a hit at international pageants. She brought to India the second Miss Supranational crown and that too when the country had won the first one two years ago. Srinidhi gives impression of a positive, humble girl and will go places in the coming years!
4) Manasi Moghe
Manasi Moghe was first a non-placer in Femina Miss India 2013 and then she returned in Miss Diva the very same year. Defeating the favorite Srishti Rana, she achieved a surprise victory but it didn’t take much time for fans to begin appreciating her. Manasi has a gorgeous face and a lovely aura about herself. She presented herself exceptionally well in Miss Universe 2013. Her smile won hearts in the preliminary competition and her placement in Top 15 was no surprise. She was eventually a Top 10 finalist. Now she is an actress.
3) Vartika Singh
Vartika Singh’s story is one of good focus and sincere efforts. She couldn’t win Miss Diva 2014 but she returned back with good preparation in Femina Miss India 2015 and succeeded the second time. She improved herself further and gave her best version in Miss Grand International 2015. She couldn’t win the crown, but placed third winning hearts of many fans forever!
2) Vanya Mishra
Vanya Mishra has an innate confidence which helped her win Femina Miss India 2012 and then make it to the Top 7 of Miss World. Nothing can stop a sincere person from achieving something he or she puts his or her heart into. Vanya’s simple yet beautiful tale proves it.
1) Asha Bhat
The best thing about Asha Bhat is her natural elegance and grace. Everything about her is effortlessly beautiful. Her good heart comes across in everything she does. She is the perfect representation of a modern Indian woman who is very much in touch with her roots. Miss Supranational added a lot of credibility to its brand by crowning Asha!
These are the choices of the experts by far. In the coming years, the list is bound to change a bit! Let’s hope we have more international winners in the list.
