Miss Universe 2016 Contestants visit Malacañang Palace

Miss Universe 2016 Contestants gave a courtesy Call to Rodrigo Duterte President of the Philippines at Malacañang Palace his official residence. The president raised a toast to the contestants and told them ” advance women empowerment to a greater audience”. President Duterte who is known for his off the hook fiery speeches joking told that he was asked to prepare his speech in advance “I usually do not read my speeches, I’m not up to it really, but this time … they told me that I must behave in my language.” This is the third time that Manila, Philippines is hosting the prestigious pageant. Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2015 will crown her successor in front of her home audience.
