Miss Universe 2016: Top 10 in Swimsuit
Miss Universe 2016/17 contestants competed in the swimsuit competition in Cebu, Philippines. The 80+ contestants presented themselves one by one on the stage in one-piece swimwear. Each contestant got good amount of airtime and the fans got the chance to re-think about their favorites for the Miss Universe title. It is wonderful that the competition is held in the beginning of the pageant itself. It increases the excitement level tremendously! Thankfully the live-stream of the pageant was also available, via those present at the event.

Here are the Top 10 picks of our experts after going through the performances of the contestants.
1 – Venezuela
Filipino pageant guru Jonas Gaffud was quick to declare his favorite on social media and she was none other than Venezuela! The country always delivers when it comes to swimsuit competition and Mariam Habach was no exception.
2 – Nicaragua
Recently a swimsuit shot of Miss Nicaragua was released and many people mistook her for Edymar Martinez. Why not, the girl is stunning and gorgeous. She delivered a solid performance in swimsuit competition too.
3 – Belgium
Miss Belgium is slim and trim. She looked adorable in the round. A good walk, great face and lovely presence – nothing geegaw but great impact.
4 – Philippines
Maxine Medina is a performer and she gave us what we expected. The body and the walk – both are amazing and she didn’t even need audience cheers to shine in the group.
5 – Thailand
Chalita Suansane has come a long way since she won Miss Universe Thailand. Her assertively impressive performance in the round just proves that she is indeed worth all the hype.
6 – Mexico
Miss Mexico was among the popular girls since the time she won her national pageant, but she lost the limelight once the girls arrived. However, with this round she is again in the limelight. Beautiful face, fit body and great walk!
7 – Sierra Leone
Hawa Kamara has been grabbing attention since the day she arrived in the Philippines. She has the confidence, the energy and the presence that is needed for a 9+ score in the swimsuit round.
8 – Panama
Miss Panama is tall and lean. Her beautiful face along with the neat walk helped her find a spot in the list.
9 – France
Europe often sends gorgeous beauties and Miss France is no exception. Thankfully she did well in swimsuit round and now we see her as a serious crown contender!
10 – Brazil
Miss Brazil is one of the most popular girls among fans and everyone expected her to be in the Top 5 for this round. She did well, but somehow didn’t shine as much we expected from her. Nonetheless she deserves a Top 10 placement in the list.
