Phapha Gachui wins Miss Manipur 2016

Phapha Gachui was crowned as the winner of Miss Manipur 2016 last night. The finale was held at Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT). She battled out other 19 contestants in the contest to win the title of Miss Manipur 2016. Phapha Gachui succeeds Rajkumari Daini Devi as the new Miss Manipur.

At the same event, Urmila Sagolsem was declared as the first runner-up and R.K. Linthoisana was declared as the second runners-up.  Apart from the subtitles, there were few Subtitles given to the contestants as below:

As a part of prizes, Phapha Gachui received cash award of Rs 70,000 while the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up received Rs 50,000 and Rs 35,000 respectively. She will also get a chance to be the show stopper at the India Intimate Fashion Week to be held in January next year at Mumbai.

The 20 short listed contestants who were a part of the contest were Mutum Singthoi Chanu, Gurumayum Olivia, Phapha Gachui, Sagolsem Sanjana Devi, Urmila Sagolsem, Oinam Thoibisana Devi, Ts Selina Chantingla, Sushma Naosekpam, Tursia Ayekpam, Takhellambam Joymati, RK Linthoisana, Marleen Devi Soubam, Lamneimoi Chongloi, Christina Thiumai, Keipila Lovety Maram, Sharina Naorem, Rosia Naorem, Moirangthem Alka, Teresa Meinam and Jenny Nenghoithem Suantak.
