If anything is harder than competing in a beauty pageant, then it is to predict the perfect outcome of the pageant.  Miss World 2016 which is currently underway in Washington D.C.  has proven so dramatically that the list of  favorites and front-runners can change once the delegates reach to compete. Miss World contestants compete in various challenger events which determine the semi-finalists.  So far we only know the top 21 of talent round, which saw some exceptional performances from the contestants.  It proves why the Miss World pageant yields the best batch of contestants each year.  Grand finale of Miss World 2016 will take place on 18th of November, where the stunning Miss World 2015 from Spain will crown her successor.  Out of the 125+ delegates, we feel these 20 young ladies have a close-shot at the crown.

Miss World  2016 Post Arrival Hotpicks !!!

20: Trinidad & Tobago, Daniella Walcott – Daniella is walking on the footsteps of her cousins who have made T & T proud with their performances at beauty pageants.  Daniella embodies the same blood and spirit to conquer the world.

19: Ukraine, Oleksandra Kucherenko – Oleksandra is epitome of Ukranian beauty; her big blue eyes & bright smile will just melt your heart away!

18: South Africa, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene – One of the finest speakers in the contest!  Miss South Africa will face tough task of continuing South Africa’s high placement streak at Miss World pageant.

17: Poland, Kaja Klimkiewicz- Her voice is so melodious that it won’t be a surprise that she bags the talent challenger event.

16: Brazil, Beatrice Fontoura – So far she hasn’t shone like we were expecting her to do, but we know Brazilian beauties bring it when it matters the most.  So our hope on Beatrice is still high.

15: Ghana, Antoinette Delali Kemavor One of the qualities that all Miss World winners possess besides being incredibly beautiful is that they all have really, good smile and in our humble opinion, Miss Ghana has the prettiest smile in the competition.

14: United States of America, Audra Mari – The host girl has been a delightful host to all the ladies that have traveled across the globe to reach Washington for the contest. Audra knows how pageant works and her experience will take her really far in the contest.

13: Dominican Republic, Yaritza Reyes – If you guys aren’t following her on various social media platforms then you guys are missing on awesome posts she makes.  The way she interacts with her fellow contestants and fans during the live chat is applaudable. Yaritza is a great speaker; if lady luck favors this former Miss Universe alumni, she might just top the all important close-door interviews which can seal her fate as a crown contender during the finale.

12: Mongolia, Bayartsetseg Altangerel (Bela) – Bayartsetseg-  has one of the most impressive introduction videos. This actress cum model is quite popular in her country and has represented Mongolia at Miss Earth 2015 & Miss International 2014.

11: Fiji, Pooja Priyanka – Talented, well spoken, stunning , humble are some of the adjectives we can use to describe Pooja. Her talent performance was impressive and we feel she is a strong contender of Oceania continental queen crown.

10: Ireland, Niamh Kennedy – She might have fallen out of our Top 5 but she is not out yet.  Niamh is an exceptionally gifted girl. She is very Miss World prototype.  Miss World crown hasn’t gone to the British isle in last seven years and if it has to go there this year, Niamh will be the girl who will wear the most recognized crown in the world.

09: Korea, Hyun Wang – She is climbing up on everyone’s list. Korea rarely sends competitive girls to pageants and Hyun has arrived as the ultimate dark horse of the pageant.

08: Venezuela, Diana Croce – The best delegate Venezuela has send to Miss World in years!  Diana embodies the classic 60’s A-list Hollywood actress look. Venezuela’s five-year long draught at Miss World will surely come to an end this year.

07: Russia, Yana Dobrovolskaya – This  classic Russian beauty commands your attention when she enters the room.  Our pre-arrival favorite might have slipped few places down but she will catch up in coming hotpicks for sure.

06: Botswana, Thata Kenosi – The best African delegate this year!  This girl is fluent in English, Japanese and her native language. With former Miss Botswana & Miss World 2010 first runner-up Emma Wareus there, the continental queen of Africa crown is her’s to lose.

05: Mexico, Ana Girault – She wears her heart on her sleeves and calls herself extremely loud. Miss Mexico has captured attention of everyone with her bubbly and sometimes over the top personality. What many think might work against her might actually end up being the reason why she places really high. The Miss World Organization loves girls who are honest and friendly.

04: India,Priyadarshini Chatterjee – She has genuinely surpassed our expectations.  The two major concerns were her styling and body. We give major points to Priyadarshini and Miss India Organisation for proving their detractors wrong.

03: Puerto Rico,Stephanie Del Valle – The best latina in the contest! Stephanie is the woman who will bring back Puerto Rico on the pageantry map. She embodies the essence of what the sash of Puerto Rico meant some years ago.

02: Hungary, Tímea Gelencsér – The highest gainer in our hotpicks! Timea looks like a love child of former Miss World, Rolene Strauss and Miss Australia 2014, Courtney Thorpe. Her aerobics performance was a delight to watch.  If she manages to maintain the momentum, she can walk away with the Miss World 2016 crown easily.

01: Philippines, Catriona Gray – TGPC admins rarely agree on anything but all of us feel that Catriona is destined to give The Philippines it’s second Miss World crown.  Trained by  the famous pageant trainer Jonas Gaffud who groomed Miss World 2013, Megan Young and the reigning Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach. There is no secret that The Philippines is the current darling of the pageantry and we feel the romance will reach its pinnacle with Catriona who will be a worthy  and memorable winner.

Catriona Gray of the Philippines is TGPC's favorite for the Miss World 2016 crown.
