22-year-old Baylee Jensen from Logan defeated 35 other contestants to bag the title of Miss Utah USA 2017. Grand finale of Miss Utah USA 2017 took place on November 19, 2016 at Layton High School. Baylee was crowned by the outgoing Miss Utah USA, Teale Murdock. Baylee will represent Utah at Miss USA 2017 pageant next year.

At the same event, First runner-up crown went to Narine Ishhanov, whereas Shona Seifert was crowned as second runner-up. Thelina Smith & Dani Braun was crowned as third and fourth runner-up respectively. In the same pageant, Rachel Bell was crowned as Miss Teen Utah USA 2017, she will represent Utah at Miss Teen USA 2017.
Utah has various semi-finalists and top 5 placements but has won Miss USA crown once courtesy of Linda Bement who later went on to win Miss Universe 1960 crown. In 1957 Charlotte Sheffield ascended the title of Miss USA after the eventual winner Leona Gage was disqualified.

22-year-old Beylee is daughter of Miss USA 1989, Gretchen Lynn Polhemus-Jensen. Beylee becomes the first daughter of former Miss USA to compete at the Miss USA pageant. Beylee was first runner-up at Miss Utah USA 2016.
